Well Fed Weekly for 10/19/26 - This Tastes Funny

“It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?” - Winnie The Pooh

Happy survivors of MEA weekend. Or for people without kids, happy Monday!

At least fall has finally, um, fallen. Hate to have to stash the shorts, then unstash, then stash again for the year.

And now that you are all thinking of our gorgeous calves, onto the newsletter!

Show News

Episode 819, recorded live at Animales, will be released to the feeds on Tuesday per the regular schedule. “But, Handsome Newsletter Author, didn’t episode 824 just release last week?” Fret not, gentle reader, for as we mentioned last week, there is no new episode this week, so we’ll be backfilling the feed with cave-aged episodes that didn’t make it onto the old website. Expect to see more episodes out this week as well as in the coming weeks, as we are taking a few weeks off around Halloween/Election week.

Food News

Taste Of Home wastes a whole article on the difference between apple cider and apple juice when this whole thing was solved in 1996.

KFC is dead to me. I mean it was mostly Abe Vagoda with me for a long time but this cinches it.

You put “war” and “ghost shrimp” in a headline and I will read your article, sirs or madams.

Happy Bologna Day!

Apparently this Saturday (the 24th) is National Bologna Day!. I must admit, I’ve never considered a “bologna bowl” before, but it does fit the criteria of sounding delicious and filthy that we live by here at the Well Fed Guide.

And there you have it! Have a great week, folks, be it bologan’d or otherwise.“It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?” - Winnie The Pooh
