This Things We Believe

Creative Commons Licensing

Unless otherwise noted, all Fancy Pants Gangsters content is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license. Full details can be found here but in essence it means you can do what you’d like with our content as long as you credit us, don’t make any money and make your works as available as we made ours.

Songs and performances in our music shows remain the property of the original creators and no usurpation of those is intended. Please support independent artists when possible, links to online stores are often provided in the relevant posts. If you are the rights holder and wish your content removed or modified in some way, please reach out to evan@fancypantsgangsters.com.

Generative AI Usage

No generative AI has been used to create any part of Fancy Pants Gangsters content, from the shows themselves to art to written copy. For half of our stuff, it’s hard to spot even human intelligence at work. We at Fancy Pants Gangsters believe that generative AI is not compatible with our current social, economic and cultural landscape and do not support its use in any way.

If for some reason you wish to use Fancy Pants Gangsters content in AI training, as per our Creative Commons license, there’s little legally we can do to stop you. We do ask that you refrain if at all possible and, barring that, let us know more about your usage. It’s just common courtesy.

Comment Policy

We love when people comment on our works, it means that we have affected them in some way. Good, bad, or otherwise, we welcome your comments.

That said, we do not allow any racism, homophobia, transphobia or anything we believe is hateful nonsense on our site. Engage in these, you may find your comments removed or other actions taken. Don’t like it, tough. Our house, our rules.

Social Media

You probably have noticed that our social media is scant. This is on purpose. Despite the obvious advantages to promoting a business that having a robust social media presence affords, we frankly feel that the major players in the field are odious individuals and/or corporations and do not wish to contribute to those spheres any more than we have to. Those services we do have a presence on simply haven’t annoyed us too much yet, but that could change any time.

We do not judge those who do maintain a presence on these services, and (perhaps hypocritically) encourage fans to share our content that they enjoy however they wish.

If you want to stay connected to us, we will be rolling out newsletters in the coming months. You can also join the conversation in our own little walled garden here on the site.
