Well Fed Weekly for 9/21/26
"A waffle is like a pancake with a syrup trap." — Mitch Hedberg
Hello Well Fed fans (and curious onlookers)!
Welcome to the first Well Fed Weekly, a (hopefully) regular newsletter thing where we can give you updates on the show, the local Twin Cities food scene, and whatever else is on our mind that week.
And now, on to the sweet sweet content!
Show News
As you are no doubt aware, the new Fancy Pants Gangsters website is up and mostly functional, and The Well Fed Guide is leading the way.
The feed has been updated and is being readded to the major podcast portals as we speak, including Apple Podcasts and Spotify, with more available later this week. If you aren't subscribed, please consider doing so now, as each subscriber helps raise our profile and grow the show.
The archives are also being slowly rebuilt, with some of the shows going into the feed and some remaining only available via the website. As more episodes become available, we'll mention it in this space.
As for new episodes, have you heard this year's State Fair show yet? As usual, if you are a fan of overweight men huffing through the night, this is show for you!
Food News
Eater's breakdown of the best places in the Mall Of America makes us want to revisit. It's only been 300+ episodes or so.
Seward Cafe, legendary vege-friendly cafe, is having some financial difficulties. If you can't donate, maybe try to stop in while you can.
Fear not, though, Edina is getting their fancy chocolates back.
Photo Highlight
Evan has been to CostCo again, and pimps the filth.
And that's that! Despite having done the show for close to two decades at this point, we are still getting used to this whole "marketing" thing so if there is something you'd like to see or not see in this newsletter, please let us know. Otherwise, thanks for reading and supporting the show all these years.
