Happy Holidays from Blogulator Radio

Hey there Blogulator listeners! Are you freaking out about the holidays yet? We are. Between that and some personal stuff (we have lives that don’t revolve around television…sometimes) we are going to be on hiatus until January 2nd, so we thought we’d bring you on a trip down Memory Lane™, highlighting all the wondrousness that was the first year of Blogulator Radio’s existence here on the Fancy Pants Gangsters netcast network.

2011 was chock full of good television, which we’ll be recapping in our second annual Best of the Year rundown when we return. We’ll give you a hint: six of our Top 10 TV Shows of 2010 will make an appearance on this year’s list, though this time we’re expanding the field to twenty shows. That’s right. We’ve watched a lot of entertaining programs. Who will fill out the other 14 slots? Well, Qualler and Brigitte sure did talk a lot about NBC’s Parenthood this year, which you can revisit here, here, and here. They also at one point professed their love for Bravo’s Real Housewives franchises, the final season of NBC’s Friday Night Lights, HBO’s Game of Thrones, FX’s Louie and American Horror Story, MTV’s Awkward, ABC’s Revenge, They also had their fair share of disagreements, starting with HBO’s True Blood and ending with that same network’s Enlightened.

Meanwhile, Jerksica and Chris watched a lot of bad TV that they loved (no typos) this year as well, from reality fluff like NBC’s The Voice and America’s Next Great Restaurant and Bravo’s Platinum Hit to AMC’s disappointing-yet-entertaining The Killing. There was also some rumination from guest co-host Sam from TheBlogulator.com about the downward trajectory of FOX’s Glee to round out the hate-love. However, they did manage to find themselves liking so much crap that was actually good on the noob tube by the fall of this year that they listed 26 different shows they fell victim to in a nice little ABC-style rundown here as well as an in-depth discussion on the most underrated and underutilized here. All in all, 2011 had plenty to rave about and even plentier to complain about. We’ll see which of the above make it into the Best of 2011 episode in just two weeks! Happy holidays!
