So this is it, folks. The final episode. It’s only fitting that our editing is lax, our sound quality is suspect, our outline is pointless and our thoughts and actions offensive. It’s what happens when you get all 6 past and present hosts in a room together to talk videogames and reminisce about the 4 plus years of podcasting frivolity. In addition to a semi-feeble attempt to talk about the new releases, Evan and Courtney lay out their love for a Facebook game, Mike continues to diddle his Nexus 7, Jeff finally gets to play a videogame version of the Leonard Maltin game (which Ashley has real issues with) and Ian wonders how the hell he got involved with these madmen.

We broke the show into two easily listenable pieces. On behalf of everyone who has ever been involved in YAGS, thank you all for your support, your commitment to telling people about the show, and all the great times that we have shared, be it at conventions or online. We can’t wait to start talking about what is coming next for us. A special thanks to our editor Tyler, who was sadly neglected on in this show’s Oscar-length thank you speech. I’m sure his brand new son Gavin is keeping him so busy that he barely noticed the oversite.

This week’s episode was ready on time, we are just releasing it a day late in solidarity for those who suffered through the Great Nexus 7 Delay of 2012. Mike is one such sufferer, but repeated stroking of his tablet (in public no less) has soothed the savage inconvenienced beast.

NASDAQ gives THQ a reprieve and the costs of doing business with Microsoft give this show, the next to last episode of our glorious run, a small island of relevance in a sea of orphan beating and years-old games.

Ashley returns from SDCC with reports of Assassin’s Creed videos and Resident Evil campaigns, while Evan’s wallet wails in pain from the Steam Summer sale. A little more OUYA talk and a review of Endless Space fills the time in between moments when the South Dakota public school system is given a bad name.

Yet Another Gaming Show Episode 300 – Asterisk

No, not the lovable Gaul. We are of course referring to the slightly out of order numbering of this week’s episode. See the issue was that Evan’s insides exploded last week. Or at least almost exploded. This put a cramp in the recording schedule, although not nearly as bad as the cramp in Evan’s innards. But our special guest (gamer geek, WarMachine afficianado, Icarus tripper and part-time viking Chris Kluwe) is worth more than a mere episode 299. So we fudge the numbers. All in the name of good fun.

As if fabulous celebrity guests aren’t enough, we’ve got new consoles, new expansions, new MMOs, new Batmans and new ways for Penny Arcade to take my money to talk about this week. All crammed into 90 minutes of laughter and tears.
