Join the YAGS crew (Mike, Courtney, Ashley and Evan) as they talk about videogaming, with a bend toward gaming news and law, along with the standard game reviews, nonsensical asides, rambling diatribes, and outright lies you’ve come to expect from The Fancy Pants Gangsters.
Yet Another Gaming Show Episode 171 – Mean Gene
Actually, he’s a very nice guy. He does occasionally pretend he is talking to Randy “Macho Man” Savage, though, which is a little distracted. We tried to edit out as much as we could.
Continuing his court-mandated community service, Gene Richtsmeier from Games N Go sits in with Mike and Evan to discuss the importance of supporting local independent games retailers, why collectors are crazy, and how much of a jerk he is by pitting newbish netcast hosts against near professional Street Fighter 4 players in a tournaments. Not that we are bitter or anything.

Yet Another Gaming Show Episode 170 – It Does A Body Good
With Courtney out, normally we would mope about, unsure of what to do or where to go. Mike would grunt and sniff at the air, Ashley would just recite the alphabet faster and faster, and Evan’s pantsless shenanigans would mean yet more jail time and even more apology letters to the local 4h groups. Luckily we have a very special guest joining the cast this week, doing his best to keep everyone’s pants in working order.
Gene Richtsmeier, general manager at local independent games retailer Games N Go, sits in this week, and while he was a bit quiet (Evan pantsless has a quieting effect on most people), he does help us dissect the gaming news of the week (and last week).

Yet Another Gaming Show Episode 169 – Maximum Effect
Alternative Title: “Wrex In Effect”. Although Wrex isn’t in Mass Effect 2 a whole lot.
Our first show from a post-iPad, post-Mass Effect 2 world, and the future is bright. Not so much for the iPad (aka iPod Biggie Size), but Mass Effect 2 brings all the boys to the yard, as it were. One such boy is Evan, who gushes over the game with a fervor normally seen in those Southeast Asian zealots of handle snakes and push lamps through their faces. You know the ones. We also briefly discuss Bayonetta, 1vs100 (have you played with the YAGS crew yet?), and Madden: Ultimate Team. Mike also drops the knowledge bomb on us with some insight into why Quebec and Idaho can’t have nice things.

Yet Another Gaming Show Episode 168 – Eric Estavillo Is A Poohead
In the words of Courtney, “Bring it on, E squared”.
Lots of stuff on this show, so it’s a good thing everyone bothered to show up today. From frivolous lawsuits and crappy layoffs to digital snake oil and DLC shenanigans, it’s a wonder we even had time to cover Ashley’s rampant anti-Catholic screeds.
(Editor’s Note: We edited that out).
Oh, ok then.

Yet Another Gaming Show Episode 167 – The Dreaded Rear Admiral
It’s a show of call-backs this Sunday, mostly due to the fact that we aren’t playing anything really new. Things like 1 vs 100, Raptr, Mirror’s Edge and Bayonetta all get mentions, and Evan talks about his semi-creepy love affair with Batman: Arkham Asylum. Is it the girls? The leather? The machismo? We also clean out the old outtake trunk, since we were so lame we couldn’t get more than 28 minutes of “good” material. So after that rousing endorsement, enjoy!
Quick birthday wishes to host and overall design star Ashley Hay, it’s her birthday today! In lieu of gifts, buy something from our store! Chances are, she designed it!
