The Well Fed Guide To Life Episode 121 – Some Kind Of Hash
Posted by FPG Post-O-Matic
On the list of Things We Want To Do, farmer’s market’s have been highly ranked for quite a while. So when Jess from Uptown Market invited us to check out the spread, we jumped at the chance, not only to get out and do a “walking around” show that doesn’t nearly kill us (aka The State Fair show) but also check out great Minneapolis street food. Aside from Chef Shack trying to kill us, it was a largely positive experience. Actually the food murder was pretty enjoyable too.
Just to give you an idea of how much food we had, here’s a list of the featured vendors:
Sadia’s Hot Sauce
Sweet M’s Farm
Laughing Stalk Farms
Thomasina’s Cashew Brittle
Salsa De Jasinto (Facebook Page)
Chef Shack
Dandelion Cafe
Foxy Falafel
She Royal Deli
Magic Bus Cafe
Huge thanks to Jess and everyone else we talked to at the Uptown Market. If you want to check it out, it’s open every Sunday from 11 to 5 pm. Support your local food markets!

The Well Fed Guide To Life Episode 120 – Here Be Dragon Chairs

This is a show about exploration. Hope explores her feelings for Bo. Little Timmy explores what it really means to be cursed with dropsy. Dave explores the his navel and finds lint-covered insight. Evan explores Duluth and buys a chair. And the guys co-explore Shuang Cheng. Actually that’s not so much exploring as revisiting a place you’ve been many times before. Which is a kind of exploring.
Fun fact: Shuang Cheng means Twin Cities. Neat.

The Well Fed Guide To Life Episode 119 – The Ties That Bind

See, it’s a wedding joke and a distressed gastrointestinal joke. We are all about efficiency here on Well Fed Guide.
Big show this week, as we have finally documented what is the closest modern has ever seen to a “giddy Dave”. Might have something to do with Evan’s big announcement, or it could be the mac-and-cheese wedges of Elsie’s Restaurant, Bar, and Bowling Center. The world may never know.

The Well Fed Guide To Life Episode 118 – Dave Returns

As fortold in the Scriptures:
From out of the east, the hairy bo-hemoth that walks like a man and
dresses in lavender like a woman shall return from his adventures.
And lo, he will bitch and moan about airport troubles, seafood hunts
gone ary, and indoor roller coasters set to 70′s rock bands. And his
faithful companion shall chew on Barley John’s pizza and listen in
understanding and friendship, for he is a good and righteous and
handsome person.
So endeth the lesson.

The Well Fed Guide To Life Episode 117 – Faceblast

Protip: Don’t do an image search for “faceblast” at work. Men come and yell at you.
In what will go down in history as one of the most expensive shows in Well Fed Guide history, Evan is joined by Craig and Jeff from the amazingly cool live food/music show Gastro Non Grata. They talk a bit about the show’s history, their personal relationship with food, and how epicly awesome the upcoming show will be (spoiler: awesomely epic).
Gastro Non Grata: Vagabond Vacation will be taking over all three parts of First Avenue Sunday June 27th. Tickets are still available as of this post, but it should be crazy so you should buy now. Seriously, just go already.
