Cosmic Slop
Cosmic Slop Episode 39 – 11/17/09
Cosmic Slop Episode 39 is a decades-spanning musical world tour! This time around, Chuck and Joel’s six picks hail, all or in part, from five different nations, featuring an American child prodigy singer-songwriter, Dutch prog, early-90s Swede-pop, British post-sike noodling, a duet of US and UK pop heavyweights, and even a raging Caribbean steel band for good measure. Confusing? Perhaps! Entertaining? Most assuredly!
Mark Radice – Please Don’t Blow Up This Ship/New Day
Earth & Fire - Invitation
Komeda – Frolic
Lever Brothers Gay Flamingoes Steelband – Black Man’s Cry
Neil Sedaka & Elton John – Bad Blood
Fickle Pickle - California Calling

Cosmic Slop Episode 38 – 10/14/09
Cosmic Slop forges onward and upward with their thirty-eighth agglomeration of long-lost musical marvels. We journey from the psychedelic Pacific Northwest song stylings of the Poppy Family to the Delta-sprung Led Zeppelin pastiche of Zebra, and find some legitimately interesting and entertaining stuff hidden in the center. Why isn’t Gene Pitney more popular? How many well-known commercial jingles were performed by Bobby and/or Billy Alessi? Who is behind the door, anyway? We may not have the answers, but the fun is in the asking!
The Poppy Family – There’s No Blood In Bone
The Alessi Brothers – Oh Lori
Gene Pitney – Something’s Gotten Hold Of My Heart
Jellyfish – That Is Why
The Snivelling Shits – Terminal Stupid
Zebra - Who’s Behind The Door?

Cosmic Slop Episode 37 – 10/07/09
Come along for a glam-tastic musical adventure, as Chuck and Joel celebrate the Cosmic Slop netcast’s one-year anniversary! A decidedly high-energy mix this time–from a group of fugly old rockers who found that putting on makeup and donning funny suits really was the key to pop stardom in the early seventies, to a couple of Americans who had to cross an ocean to find acceptance for their fey smartypants song stylings. Don’t delay–listen today!
Mud – Tiger Feet
Foxy – Hot Number
Sandy Salisbury – Do Unto Others
Lally Stott – Jakaranda
Jimmy Hughes – Neighbor, Neighbor
Sparks – Something For The Girl With Everything

Cosmic Slop Episode 36 – 9/23/09
Though autumn’s chill is in the air, Cosmic Slop does not despair! Episode 36 brings another spectacular sextet drawn from Chuck and Joel’s music libraries, featuring songs both good and (in at least one case intentionally) bad. Double entendre-laden MOR! Bloaty fantasy-rock! Threatening soul-funk! And it all starts with the sweatiest Tom Jones song ever! This. Groove. Will. Not. Be. Stopped.
Tom Jones – Chills and Fever
Nicolette Larson – Rumba Girl
Jonathan and Darlene Edwards – The Object of My Affection
Uriah Heep – The Wizard
Hawkwind – Urban Guerrilla
Billy Paul – Am I Black Enough For You?
