The F.I.L.M. Army
The F.I.L.M. Army: August 2010 Edition – Nolan Is God
How exactly does Evan feel about Inception director Christopher Nolan? He paid me 50 bucks to make this the show title.
While Nolan may be all the rage on the movie papers (and in Evan’s heart), there’s more going on in the world of film and DVD. I mean, just look at all the stuff we talk about this show:
Tales From The Pile: American Splendor, Crumb, and American Pop – Evan
Brotherly Love: The Karate Kid – Courtney & Cameron
Box Office Poison: I Know Who Killed Me – Nate
War Room: Inception group review – Courtney, Evan, Todd (with a little Jeff)
For the cost of less than 1 movie ticket, you can get a free two-week trial of Netflix and help support the F.I.L.M. Army. For pennies a day, you can end the suffering of independent film podcasts.

The F.I.L.M. Army: July 2010 Edition – Nic Cage’s Hair And Other Nonsensicals
Say what you will, the Nicolas Cage Hair Length vs Film Quality Ratio has largely yet to be disproven, and Sorcerer’s Apprentice doesn’t look like it’s going to upset this universal truth.
Old favorites and new locations abound this month, as the Army does it’s first War Room in Pants Tower. While it lacks the defensibility of the still-in-progress Casa De Pantalones, it does have that certain bourgeois charm.
Segments:
Trailer Feature – Jeff
Lights, Cameron, Action: Letters To Juliet – Cameron
Box Office Poison: Battlefield Earth – Nate
War Room: Flawed Films – Jay, Evan, Courtney, and Jeff
All music this month provided by Repo Men, available on Blu-Ray and DVD July S

The F.I.L.M. Army June-ish 2010 Edition
What was that line from Donald Rumsfeld about going to battle with the army you have….
So yeah, this is late. And a bit slapdash. But to be honest, May (and June) has kicked the crap out of the F.I.L.M. Army, so we couldn’t put on a show to the level you have come to expect. But the segments we did have were pretty keen, if you ask me, and it would be a shame to waste them. So without further ado, please enjoy this month’s edition of the The F.I.L.M. Army.
Section listing to come later, I promise.

The F.I.L.M. Army: May 2010 Edition
Continuing with our tradition with emulating film franchises, this third installment of The F.I.L.M. Army is overlong and either a landmark episode in its own right, or a sad reminder of past glories. So, will we be Return Of The King or Spiderman 3? It’s too bad we couldn’t get Dokken to do our theme song this time, as that is the best indicator of success in all things, film or otherwise.
Pop Up Blocker: 2010 Clash Of The Titans review – Courtney
Cole Kohler of Snack Attack Samurai Interview – Evan
Box Office Poison: The Adventures Of Pluto Nash – Nate
Lights, Cameron, Action: The Last Song – Cameron
War Room: Summer Movie Preview – Jay, Jeff, Evan, and Tom Brazelton of TheaterHopper.com
Don’t get the Dokken reference? You should try Netflix. Sign up for a free two-week trial and help support The F.I.L.M. Army. And heavy metal.

The F.I.L.M. Army: April 2010 Edition
Following the rule of cinema that the second of anything is better than the first (The Empire Strikes Back, Godfather 2, Crank 2), this second iteration of The F.I.L.M. Army is even better than the first one! Titans will clash! Guests will guest! And mic troubles will keep Evan from participating meaningfully in this month’s War Room. We suspect Communist sabotage.
Features:
When Harry Met Calibus: 1981′s Clash of The Titans review – Courtney
Box Office Poison: All About Steve – Nate
Beginner’s Guide To Bollywood – Meghan Wilker
Never Grow Old: Why The Lost Boys Is Amazing – Evan
Lights, Cameron, Action: Remember Me – Cameron
War Room: Remakes – Jeff, Jay, Chase Shumway of Who Asked You?, and Evan (sort of).
Intersegment music was provided by The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus, available on DVD April 27th.
Wanna see the original before the remake? You should try Netflix. Sign up for a free two-week trial and help support The F.I.L.M. Army.
