While the impending doom (for some) lurks of an NFL lockout next year, and the first year in my NFL watching life that there would be no Brett Favre, some people clamor for a sport filled with violence and enough downtime to put in 10 minute commercial slots for bad beer and terrible appetizers.

Review: “The Sacrifice” Left 4 Dead 1 (PC/ Steam)
The Zombie Pub Crawl descends upon my fair city of Minneapolis tonight. What better way to get in the mood, than to try out the new DLC for Left 4 Dead, “The Sacrifice”. “The Sacrifice” which is Valve’s new DLC for both Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, gets us deeper into the story of our zombie apocalypse survivors and *SPOILER ALERT* shows us how our favorite Vietnam Vet meets his unlikely demise; all while providing us with the gruesome zombie slaying that we have all come to love.

Welcome Back My Son. I’ve Missed You… Mike’s Take on Civilization V
For those of you who’ve paid attention to the PC gaming world, the “mature” strategy game of the decade has come out. This one does not involve space marines, but rather mech warriors. Instead of zerglings, you have… the French. Civilization V is the PC game many of us have been looking forward to for some time. I had said earlier that this would be the year that the Persians and the Protoss would bring folks back around to PC gaming once again. (Well… those who weren’t playing Halo: Reach.) I, myself, was using this game as an excuse to get back in to PC gaming.

Game Review: Red Dead Redemption (Rockstar Games)
Apparently what is popular out there isn’t always a terrible thing. Sure, I might not like American Idol, or skinny jeans, or even the show Lost. However, I have fallen in love with Rockstar Games’ latest baby: Red Dead Redemption.
